Shafiq is an engaged member of the Johns Creek community. Currently, Shafiq is the Founder and President of Johns Creek Cricket Association and a member of Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee. He is also very engaged with the annual Johns Creek International Festival. Shafiq participated in the 2016 Leadership Johns Creek program and served as a mentor for the 2017 class. He also served as a Board Member for the Johns Creek Arts Center for 7 years.
